Kirk N. Applegate, Partner, Governmental Department

Kirk N. Applegate is a partner with over 20 years of experience in governmental accounting for the Firm. His area of expertise is in the audit of municipal governments, school districts and municipal utility authorities. He is a 1981 graduate of Rutgers University.

Experience: Mr. Applegate is currently responsible for the audits of four municipalities, three school districts, three municipal utility authorities and two not for profit organizations. His audits of municipalities and school districts are subject to the requirements of the Single Audit Law. He is experienced in preparing arbitrage calculations for debt issues. Kirk was instrumental in developing our company's audit work programs for Authorities and serves firm’s as a leader in our Company’s Continuing Education Programs and Workpaper Inspection Program. He has successfully completed the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s courses to obtain a Certificate of Educational Achievement in Government Accounting and Auditing.

Membership in Professional and Civic Organizations:
Mr. Applegate is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is Treasurer of the Stratford Athletic Organization and is a past member of the Laurel Springs volunteer fire department.

Mr. Applegate resides in Stratford with his wife, Caren and three daughters.
