John (Jack) F. Dailey, Jr., Partner,
Chair, Governmental Services Department
John (Jack) F. Dailey is a Partner with over 30 years of experience in serving governmental
clients. Jack has served as Chair of the Firm's Governmental Services Department
since 1994. In this capacity, he oversees all municipal, county, school district,
authority, non-profit (GAGAS) and other governmental agency engagements. Jack earned
his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Villanova University in 1973. He
was admitted as a partner of the Firm in 1984. His areas of expertise include municipal,
school district, fire district and non-profit clients.
Experience: Jack is currently the Partner in Charge of three municipal,
two school district and three charter schools; twelve fire district and several
non-profit audit engagements. He has acted as an expert consultant on the establishment,
consolidation and dissolution of several fire districts. In addition, Jack has served
the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services
as a member of the Registered Municipal Accountants Steering Committee charged with
the responsibility of revising the "Requirements of Audit" for local New
Jersey governments. Jack has authored numerous articles that have been published
in several professional journals, and speaks regularly as a discussion leader for
continuing professional education seminars. In 1997, Jack received a Certificate
of Educational Achievement in Governmental Accounting and Auditing from the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Membership in Professional and Civic Organizations: Jack is a member
of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), New Jersey Society
of Certified Public Accountants (NJSCPA) and the New Jersey Registered Municipal
Accountants Association. He served President of the NJSCPA in 2002-2003. In addition,
Jack served the NJSCPA as a member of the Executive Committee for five years, and
as Vice President, Treasurer and as a member of the Board of Trustees. On the local
level, NJSCPAs Jack has served as President of the Southwest Jersey Chapter
of the NJSCPA. Currently, Jack serves the AICPA as a member of Council. In addition,
in March 2005, Acting Governor Richard J. Codey appointed Jack to a three-year term
to serve as a member of the New Jersey State Board of Accountancy. In the community,
Jack was one of the founders of the Voorhees Business Association and served as
Chairman of the Board of Trustees from 1989 to 1993. He currently serves as Chairman
of the Finance Committee of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church in Berlin, NJ.
Jack is a resident of Voorhees with his wife, Mary, and their two children, Megan
and John.
