Robert P. Nehila Jr: Partner, Higher Education Group and
Governmental Services Department
Robert P. Nehila Jr. was admitted as a partner of the Firm on July 1, 2003 and has
17 years of experience in governmental auditing. He is licensed
to practice as a Certified Public Accountant, Registered Municipal Accountant and
Public School Accountant in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Rider University.
Experience: Bob has experience with auditing county colleges, municipalities,
county governments, school districts, fire districts, public libraries and non-profit
organizations. Bob is also experienced with the requirements of the Single
Audit Act and annually attends a three day Student Financial Aid Auditing Seminar.
He is currently the partner in charge of Burlington County College, Brookdale Community College, Ocean County
College, Union County College, Mercer County Special Services School District,
Township of Evesham, Township of Medford, City of Burlington, Borough of Runnemede,
City of Camden and several not for profit audits. He is also the technical
review or concurring partner for the Firms’ four other Community College clients.
He is a regular speaker at the County College
Business Offices Association. His
topics have included the implementation
of GASB 35, Financial Reporting Model for Colleges and Universities, GASB 39, and
Determining Whether Certain Organizations Are Component Units. Bob is the partner in charge of the Firm's in-house monitoring program for governmental
engagements. He has also developed and instructed numerous in-house continuing professional
education seminars
Membership in Professional and Civic Organizations: Bob
is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New Jersey
Society of Certified Public Accountants and the New Jersey Registered Municipal
Accountants Association. In his community, he is very active as a coach for girls
field hockey, basketball and softball and has been coaching for nine
years. He is also
the commissioner for the Marlton Girls Softball Program.
Bob
resides in Evesham Township with his wife and two daughters.
